Error when accessing Microsoft Windows Network

When you maximize Enterprise in the navigation pane and select Microsoft® Windows® Network to access your Active Directory® hierarchy, the following error displays:

Enumerating Domain - Error: The Server is not Operational



  • Patch Manager 2.1 and later


The domain controller is unreachable through your Patch Manager connections.


  1. Log in to Patch Manager as an administrator.
  2. Expand Patch Manager System Configuration > Management Groups.
  3. Select an active group.
    Managed Enterprise is the default group.
  4. Double click on the domain with the error
  5. Enter the name of the preferred domain controller, and click OK.
