EWDGS service does not start - Error 1069: User login failure

If you are receiving the Error 1069: User logon failure message, then you need to make sure that the credentials running the service are typed in properly.


All Patch Manager versions


User logon information is failing.


  1. If you are using the default ewdgsvc-xxx account, then you will need to go to Local Users and Groups and set a password for the account.
  2. Once you have the password set you will need to go to the Eminentware Data Grid Service and go to Properties, Logon and rekey the password.
  3. Reset the MEKey and MPKey.
  4. Start the service.
