Duplicate Node entries in the Patches Tab in Orion

This article describes the issue when loading the Patches tab in the Orion Web Console and you see duplicate entries. You need to open the database and clear the WSUS Nodes table following the directions below.

When the WSUS server has been removed and re-added under the same name or IP, sometimes this can cause duplicates in the Patches tab for the Orion Console.


  1. Open the Orion Database Manager on the Orion server and load the default database.
  2. Query the WSUS Nodes table and sort by IP address and you will see the duplicate entries.
  3. Run the following query:

Truncate Table WSUSNodes

   4. Close the Database Manager and in the Orion Patches Tab, click Load newest Data  and the duplicates should be gone.
