Create a report showing the server name, update title, and installation state

Overview

This article details how to create reports that shows the server name, update title, and installation state.

Environment

Patch Manager 2.1 and later

Steps

  1. In the Patch Manager administration console, expand Patch Manager > Administration and Reporting > Reporting.

  2. Expand WSUS Reports > Windows Server Update Services Analytics.

  3. In the Available Datasources pane, right-click the Computer Update Status With Computer Information option, and then select New Report.

  4. To add each field, click the + in the top box and then click Select Field. Add the following fields under Computer Update Status With Computer Information:

  • Computer Name
  • Update Title
  • Update Installation State (Friendly Name)

   5.  Choose one field to be sorted. SolarWinds recommends to sort the Computer Name field.

   6.  Click Next.

   7.  Provide a filename to the report and choose to either:

  • Save the report
  • Save and run it immediately 
  • Save and schedule the report
