This article provides information about backing up your Patch Manager server.

Currently, SolarWinds does not have a backup procedure for the server hosting Patch Manager server.

If you are using an SQL Server database instance stored on an external server, you can back up the database instance. If Patch Manager fails for any reason, you can reinstall the application and reconnect to the external database.

If you are using a local SQL Server Express database, you can create snapshots of the VM. If the database is installed on a remote server, you can back up the database on that server. 

You cannot reconnect Patch Manager to the SQL Server database if you relocated Patch Manager to another server or IP address.
