Warning "Failed to retrieve the list of installed modules" when running new Orion installer

Overview

This article details a warning message users may come across when upgrading their system:

Verify the AP/AW modules (Additional Poller/Additional Website)Additional Website [TULWS1027]: Failed to retrieve the list of installed modules

Environment

  • Orion Platform 2017.x and later

 

Cause 

This likely due to an old website name and IP address still existing in the websites table after migrating. 

 

Resolution

  1. Go to the Orion server and open the Database Manager.
  2. Click Add Default server.
  3. Expand the SolarWinds database.
  4. Scroll down to the Websites table.
  5. Double click the table and select Execute query.
  6. Click Enable Table Editing.
  7. Right-click on the square next to the old website row and select  Delete Row.
