Cause

This issue may occur due to the following reasons:

  • The account or group may have been added and deleted.
  • The account or group still exists on the database but the limitation assigned to the account no longer exists.

Resolution

  1. Open the Database Manager.
  2. Click Add default server.
  3. Expand the SolarWindsOrion database.
  4. Double-click the Accounts table and execute the following query:
    SELECT accountid, limitationid1, limitationid2, limitationid3 FROM [dbo].[Accounts]
where accountid = 'PUT THE ACCOUNT OR GROUP THAT CANNOT BE EDITTED HERE'

  5.  Double-click the Limitations table and click Execute query. Notice that there is a limitation assigned to the account or group.
  6.  Go back to the Accounts table and click Enable table editing.
  7. Change the LimitationID1 column value from 2 to 0.
  8. Click Enable table editing and verify that you can now add or edit the account or group.
