Start and stop Orion services

Overview

This article describes how to start and stop Orion services using the Orion Service Manager.

Environment

  • Orion products that consume Orion Platform 2018.4 and later
  • Windows 2016 and later

Steps

  1. Log into the Orion server.
  2. In the Start menu, click Solarwinds Orion > Orion Service Manager.

    In earlier Windows Server versions, click SolarWinds Orion > Advanced Features > Orion Service Manager.

  3. Click Start Everything to start all Orion services.

     

    Stop Orion services

    To stop all Orion services, click Shutdown Everything.

 

Starting with Orion Platform 2016.1 (Orion products such as NPM 12.0, SAM 6.2, or IPAM 4.3), you can access the Orion Service Manager directly from the Orion Web Console, without actually logging into your polling engine server. See Shutdown and restart Orion services.
