SolarWinds Orion alert is triggered, but only some alert actions are performed

Overview

When an alert fires or the reset condition is triggered in a SolarWinds Orion product, only some of the actions are performed. For example, if a node is down, you can see the notification on the NetPerfMon event log, however, no email is received.

 

Environment

  • All SolarWinds Orion products

 

Cause 

The Action has been disabled for the alert.

 

Resolution

  1. On the Alert Manager page, click the Action Manager tab.
  2. Ensure that the particular action for the alert is Enabled.
