Server error displays after you add a resource to NPM

When you add a new resources to a view in NPM, the following error message displays:

Server Error: We are having difficulty communicating with the Orion server. 


The server error is accompanied by a stack trace error:



  • NPM 12.2 


  1. Check for the stack trace error.
  2. Check the specific view by verifying it from the URL.
    For example, the NetflowNodeDetails view.perf3.png
  3. Click Settings > All Settings > Manage Views.
  4. Edit the specific view.
  5. Identify the resources that are not compatible with the Node Details view page.
    For example, a broken ASA connection resource.
  6. Remove the resource and click Submit.
  7. Refresh the page.
    The error should disappear.
