Rebuild the Orion Web Console using advanced repair

Overview

This article describes the steps in rebuilding the Orion Web Console using the advanced repair option.

Note: These steps should be performed after completing the Rebuild the Orion Web Console using basic repair procedure.

Steps


Notes:

  • Complete Basic Repair before performing the following steps.
  • Consult your system administrator before performing the following steps. 
  • You will need to replace any custom logos after performing the repair.

 

  1. Go to to IIS and delete the Web site.
    • Orion: SolarWinds NetPerfMon
    • NCM: SolarWinds Orion Network Configuration Manager
  2. On IIS, right-click Web Site > New > Web Site and click Next.
  3. Fill out the required fields and click Next.
    Notes:
    • If you are setting up the Orion web site, leave the TCP port at 80.
    • If you are setting up the NCM web site, set the TCP port at 8888.
    • Leave the header blank.
  4. Enter the destination path and click Next.
    • Orion: C:\InetPub\SolarWinds
    • NCM: C:\InetPub\SolarWindsNCM
  5. Select all the check boxes and click Next. 
  6. Click Finish.
  7. Run the Orion Configuration Wizard for the Website.
