Map object status in the Orion Web Console does not update in a timely manner

Updated January 14, 2019

Overview

When you open the Orion Web Console, add node objects on a map, and view the object status, the status for some node objects does not update in a timely manner. For example, a node that is up and running displays a Down status for several minutes.

Environment

  • Orion Platform

Cause

The map includes too many objects, requiring additional time to verify the status of all objects.

Resolution

  • Break down your map into smaller maps.
