Job Scheduler and Job Enginev2 keeps on flapping after migration

Overview

After migration, the Job Scheduler and Job Engine v2 keep flapping. The following error is returned:

 

2018-04-03 12:37:02,482 [7] FATAL SolarWinds.JobEngine.ServiceProcess.SolarWindsService - (null)     Unhandled exception caught
System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not load file or assembly 'System.Data.SqlServerCe, Version=3.5.1.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=89845dcd8080cc91' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.
File name: 'System.Data.SqlServerCe, Version=3.5.1.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=89845dcd8080cc91'

Environment

  • Orion Platform, all versions

Resolution

  1. Log in the Orion App Server and stop all Orion services in the Orion Service Manager.
  2. Go to the following directory:
    C:\ProgramData\Solarwinds\Installer
  3. Right-click the following and select Repair:
    • SSCERuntime_x86-ENU.msi
    • SSCERuntime_x64-ENU.msi
  4. Start all the Orion services in the Orion Service Manager.

The Job engine should start automatically after repairing those items.
