Incorrect node status in the Orion Web Console

Overview

The Orion Web Console displays device node statuses as Up when the device is actually Down. When you ping the device from the SolarWinds server, there is a 100% packet loss. 

Environment

NPM 11.5 and later

Cause 

Stale data in temp directory for the job engine. 

Resolution

  1. Go to c:\windows\temp.
  2. Open the Job Engine folders and check for any stale data. 
  3. Delete any old ShadowCopyCache folders. 
  4. Restart services for both Job Engine v1 and v2.
