How to use advanced trigger conditions in alerts

Overview

This article describes how to set an alert to trigger when more than one object matches the trigger condition.

Environment

  • Orion 2016 and newer

Steps

  1. Open the alert by going to the Alerts page.
  2. Click Manage Alerts on the right side of the screen.
  3. Create a new alert or edit an existing alert and add complex conditions.
  4. In the alert trigger condition section after setting up the actual alert scope and alert trigger, expand Advanced options and check the Enable complex conditions.

    This gives you the option to add conditions, such as:
    Alert can be triggered if More or equal to X objects (at the same time) have met the specified condition and then trigger a single alert.
