Find the current module version from the Orion database

Overview

This article provides steps on how to find the current version of each module installed in the database when the application server is down and needs to be rebuilt. 

 

 

Environment

All versions of Orion products

Steps

  1. Log in to the SQL database server and launch the SQL Server Management Studio.
  2. Browse to the Orion DB.
  3. Expand the database the browse  to Programmability\Functions\ScalValueFunctions
  4. For each module you will find a function GetModuleVersion, for example UDT is GetUDTDbVersion. Right-click on the function and select Script function as create to and New Query Editor Window.
  5. This displays the version in the database. In this example, it's UDT 3.2.2.
