False reboot alerts

Updated February 13, 2018

You are receiving 'false' reboot alerts every 10 days because of automatic re-triggering.

  • Orion Platform 2016 and newer

The standard reboot alert has a Reset condition like "Reset this alert automatically after 84 seconds." The reason for this is that the reboot alert does not have any reset condition that would be sent from the device.

Some users may create their own reboot alert and leave the Reset condition to be the default "Reset the alert when the condition no longer exists." As a result this alert will re-trigger every 10 days.

For reboot alerts, be sure to set the Automatic reset condition on these alerts.
