Error displays when upgrading the Orion Platform server

When you upgrade your Orion Platform server, the following error displays: 

2018-09-25 16:54:13,718 [11] ERROR DBConfigProcessor - Error while executing script - 
The CREATE UNIQUE INDEX statement terminated because a duplicate key was found for 
the object name 'dbo.EngineProperties' and the index name 'PK_EngineProperties'. 
The duplicate key value is (2, Basic Alert - Actions Enabled).
Could not create constraint or index. See previous errors. The statement has been 


  • NPM 12.x and higher
  • SAM 6.x and higher
  • Orion Platform 2016.x and higher


  • Duplicate values in the dbo.EngineProperties table. The wizard is unable to create a UniqueID to insert the records into this table.


  1. Backup your Orion Database.
  2. Open Database Manager or another database management tool.
  3. Navigate to:
  4. Sort the table by the PropertryName column.
  5. Remove any duplicate entries where PropertyName is repeated.
  6. Run the configuration wizard again and allow it to complete.
