Endpoint listening error when logging in to the Orion Web Console

Overview

When you log in to the Orion Web Console, the following NPM error displays in the console:

Environment

  • NPM 12.2

Cause 

Orion Platform 2017.1 Hot Fix 3 was installed on the Orion server, but SolarWinds Information Service Hot Fix 2 (included with Core Hot Fix 3) was not installed on the server.

Resolution

  1. Open the Control Panel on the affected server.
  2. Go to Programs and Features > Uninstall a Program > View Installed Updates.
  3. Make sure the following hot fixes are installed on the server:
    • Orion Platform Hot Fix 3
    • SolarWinds Information Service Hot Fix 2
