Display custom SQL report on the Orion web as a Resource view

Overview

This article describes how to put a custom SQL resource as a report on the Orion Web Console.

Customer has a Custom SQL query and using the Custom SQL resource - it does not list all the information. Work-around is to put the Customer SQL report as a resource view on the Web Console 

Environment

All NPM versions

Steps

  1. Remote access Solarwinds server and open Report Writer.
  2. Use the SQL template.
  3. Put the SQL query and generate the report. Save the report.
  4. Go back to the Orion web console and to the view you need to place the report.
  5. Click Customize page > Add > Report to Orion Report Writer add it and save.
  6. Go back to the same view > Edit > select the report and save.
