Disable a service

Overview

This article shows how to disable a service.

Environment

Any SolarWinds product running on any Windows version

Steps

  1. Click Start > Run.
  2. Enter services.msc.
  3. Locate and right-click the service that you want to disable.
  4. Select Properties.
  5. In the Startup Type menu, select Disabled.
  6. Click Apply > OK.
