Overview

This article describes how to configure the short date format that is displayed in the Orion server to DD/MM/YYYY. The short date format is the date format that is displayed to the user.

Environment

All NPM versions

Steps

Note: This should be done on the Main Poller.

  1. Change ShortDate format for the account which runs SW Module Engine. By default, this SW Module Engine service is run under "Local System" account (SID S-1-5-18)
    See https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/lib...sktop/aa379649
  2. Edit the registry. Go to the run command section and type in regedit.exe
Edit HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-18\Control Panel\International\sShortDate registry key for example to "d/M/yyyy"
(S-1-5-18 is the SID of account that is used to run SW Module Engine service)

Please backup the registry as the changes will be permanent.

3. If editing the registry doesn't work, use IE, which should show the correct format.

If using Chrome, then change the default language setting from English US to English UK and re-launch the Chrome browser.
