Overview

The test fails when using SNMPv3 to add devices to Orion. The SNMP credentials are correct upon checking.

Environment

Orion Platform

Cause

The web browser is auto-populating unnecessary fields in the SNMPv3 credentials that is causing the incorrect information being sent.

Resolution

  1. Use a different browser(e.g. IE, Firefox, Google Chrome, etc)
  2. Remove the auto-fill form feature of the web browser.
  3. Clear web cookies.

Reason for Rework or Feedback from Technical Content Review: Article specified Google Chrome when the same issue can be seen on Firefox or any other web browsers which has an auto-fill form feature.
