Adding SNMPv3 devices to Orion fails on test due to web browser auto-fill form feature

Overview

The test fails when using SNMPv3 to add devices to Orion. The SNMP credentials are correct upon checking.

Environment

Orion Platform

Cause 

The web browser is auto-populating unnecessary fields in the SNMPv3 credentials that is causing the incorrect information being sent.

Resolution

  1. Use a different browser(e.g. IE, Firefox, Google Chrome, etc)
  2. Remove the auto-fill form feature of the web browser.
  3. Clear web cookies.

 

Reason for Rework or Feedback from Technical Content Review: Article specified Google Chrome when the same issue can be seen on Firefox or any other web browsers which has an auto-fill form feature.
