Configuration Wizard: Permissions check has identified 1 folder(s) with at least one permissions issue that cannot be repaired automatically

Overview

You may receive the following error message (the number of folders affected is variable) when running the Configuration Wizard:

Cause 

This is caused by incorrect permissions being applied to one or more folders on the Solarwinds Orion server for which you are currently running the Configuration Wizard.

 

Resolution

  1. Please use the below article to run the Orion Permissions Checker and repair any broken permissions.  https://support.solarwinds.com/Success_Center/Network_Performance_Monitor_(NPM)/Use_the_Orion_Permission_Checker_Tool  Please note that Group Policy Object refresh may affect the ability to apply persistent permissions changes.
  2. You may need to use the instructions below to manually apply permissions fixes if the repair using the Orion Permissions Checked doesn't work as intended.  https://support.solarwinds.com/Success_Center/Network_Performance_Monitor_(NPM)/Check_permissions_using_the_Orion_Permission_Checker
