Issue:

When NTM shuts-down it can be due to non-functioning WMI.

Resolution:

Solution #1 (Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7)
1. Press Win + R on your keyboard, type 'CMD' and press ENTER;

3. Type 'net stop winmgmt' and press ENTER;
4. Using Windows Explorer, rename the folder C:\Windows\System32\Wbem\Repository. (For example, C:\Windows\System32\Wbem\Repository_bad).
5. Switch to command line, type 'net start winmgmt' and press ENTER;
6. Close command line;
