This article provides information on incorrectly shown interface names for Juniper devices.

Environment

  • All NTM versions
  • Juniper Networks, Inc. ex4300-24p Ethernet Switch, kernel JUNOS 13.2X51-D30.4, Build date: 2014-11-27 13:28:00 UTC

Cause 

Issue has been identified by our Devs to be on a device:

Juniper devices by default in LLDP table lldpRemLocalPortNum (1.0.8802.1.1.2.1.4.1.1.2) return local interface index instead of port number.
