iVIM views are inaccessible

The HyperV view in the Web Console is inaccessible.


  • NPM v11.5.2 and later
  • SAM v6.2 and later


This issue occurs when iVIM was accidentally uninstalled.


  1. Go to C:\ProgramData\SolarWinds\Installers.
  2. Run Solarwinds Integrated Virtual Infrastructure Monitor.
  3. If the IVIM module shows in evaluation, then follow these steps:
    a. Deactivate the existing licenses if they were applied using Solarwinds License Manager.
    b. Delete the file Virtualization.Eval.lic located in (default installation location):
    C:\Program Files (x86)\SolarWinds\Orion\VIM
    c. Run the License Reset Utility.
        Use the password: burn/purify
    d. Re-activate the licenses after obtaining new keys from the Customer Portal.
    e. Restart the Solarwinds Services.
