Web console does not show list of modules installed

After module reinstallation, the Web Console does not show the list of modules installed on the Footnote of the Login page. From the Orion web log, the following error message is seen:


WARN  SolarWinds.Orion.Core.Common.CoreBusinessLayerProxy - An error occured when connecting to the communication channel.
ERROR SolarWinds.Orion.Web.UI.EvalBanner - Error while loading eval information.
System.ServiceModel.EndpointNotFoundException: There was no endpoint listening at net.tcp://pnyswet01:17777/orion/core/businesslayer that could accept the message. This is often caused by an incorrect address or SOAP action. See InnerException, if present, for more details.

This is caused by the corrupted license



IMPORTANT NOTE: If you can not complete step 1 please do not follow this article.  You must be able to de-activate your licenses successfully before the remaining steps are completed.  If your License(s) are not available in your customer portal this may lead to downtime.  


  1. Deactivate all of your licenses in License Manager

  2. Exit License Manager,

  3. Uninstall License Manager via the Control Panel > Programs and Features > SolarWinds License Manager

  4. Download and run license reset utility from
    Note: Password is (without double quotes): “burn/purify”

  5. Run License Manager setup. Refer to Maintaining Licenses.

  6. Open License Manager.

  7. Re-activate licenses.

  8. Restart Orion services using the Orion Service Manager.

  9. If you are on NPM 12 or later, run the Orion Configuration Wizard to complete the process.  If you are on NPM 11.5.3 or earlier this step is not required.
