Web Console error: The settings property 'APM.ApmSummaryViewID' was not found

Overview

The Orion Web Console displays an Unexpected Error Message and the web pages are inaccessible.

 

When checking the OrionWeb.log file, the following error is found:
ERROR ASP.global_asax - (null) Application_Error(6accea3c37b94459aa6573d920cecf8b)
System.Configuration.SettingsPropertyNotFoundException: The settings property 'APM.ApmSummaryViewID' was not found.

Steps

  1. Go to the Control Panel.
  2. Right-click SolarWinds SAM and select Repair.
  3. Wait for the configuration wizard to automatically run after the repair.
  4. Run the Permission Checker Tool and set folder permissions.
  5. Open the Web Console to verify that the issue has been resolved.
