Overview

This article shows the step-by-step procedure on how to rebuild the Orion website and reinstall IIS for Internal Server Error 500 issues.

Environment

NPM 11.5.3

Steps

  1. Stop the Orion Services using the Orion Service Manager.
  2. Launch IIS (Internet Information Services Manager).
    a. Under Sites, Remove/Delete SolarWinds NetPerfMon.
    b. Go to Application Pools and delete/remove SolarWinds NetPerfMon.
  3. Go to C:\inetpub and rename SolarWinds folder to SolarWinds.old.
  4. Go to C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319\Temporary ASP.NET Files and delete all files.
    a. Type the command (without the "") "cd c:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319\" and hit on Enter.
    b. Then type (without the "") "aspnet_regiis.exe -iru" and hit Enter.
  5. Remove Web (IIS) Server Role using Server Manager.
  6. Run Configuration Wizard.
