Overview

This article provides information on requirements when adding a WMI node to SolarWinds.

Environment

  • All NPM versions
  • All SAM versions

Detail

Access to DCOM and WMI components are required for your account if you are adding a node via WMI. The Local/Domain administrator grants access to the WMI and DCOM components. However, if you are unable to use Local/Domain admin accounts, see the following to grant the least admin rights to a user:
