Volume and interface polling not updating

Overview

This article describes how to correct charting issues which lead to the appearance of polling error. 

Environment

All NPM versions

Cause 

This is because incorrectly setting the chart data configurations may create the appearance of polling failures if the chart is set to not load recent data.

Resolution

  1. Browse to one of the charts showing the issue.
  2. Click Edit on the upper right hand corner of the chart resource.
  3. Adjust the Default Zoom Range to Last Two Hours.
  4. Adjust the Amount of historical data to load to Last 1 day.
  5. Adjust the Sample Interval to Every 10 minutes.
  6. Click Submit and review the chart for data.
  7. Verify if data is now showing, if not then the issue is not related to chart settings.
