Verify Layer 2 and 3 Topology availability on a device

Overview

This article describes how to verify if Layers 2 and 3 Topology are available and enabled on a device. This is necessary for creating maps and automatic links, for example, in Network Atlas.

Environment

NPM 12.2 and earlier

Steps

  1. Open the Web Console, and then go to Settings > Manage Nodes.
  2. Find and click the first node.
  3. On the Node Details page, click List Resources.
  4. Verify or confirm that Topology: Layer 2 and Layer 3 are listed and selected as shown in the image:
  5. Click Submit.
  6. Repeat Steps 2 to 5 for all other nodes.
