Use the Custom Query (SWQL) resource

Overview

This article describes how to use a Custom Query to build a web resource in Orion. Many networks have unique architecture  that makes it useful to have a custom resource in Orion. 

Environment

All versions of NPM

Steps

  1. Navigate to the page in Orion that you wish to add the custom table.
  2. Click Customize Page in the upper right corner.
  3. Enter Custom Query in the search bar, select the Custom Query resource.
  4. Click ADD SELECTED RESOURCES.
  5. Click Done from the Customize Page screen.
  6. Click Edit on the Custom Query resource you added.
  7. Add the custom SWQL query to gather the information you need on this page and click submit.

 

The example above is a custom resource made available on our Thwack community.  It displays the routing neighbor state as seen below:
