Looking to compare latest NPM features with previous versions of NPM?
The NPM new feature summary offers a comparison of new features and improvements offered with this release.
For NPM 10.3 and earlier customers, to upgrade to NPM 12 we recommend a fresh installation of NPM 12. Download and install NPM 12 from the Customer Portal, deactivate your previous installation, and then apply your license to the NPM 12 installation. This article walks through all of the steps.
No data is migrated from your previous installation. You must use a new SQL instance.
SolarWinds provides a 30-day, full-feature evaluation license. Use this license when installing NPM 12.x, and use the evaluation period to reference your 10.3 or earlier installation. Deactivate you previous installation, and then activate your NPM 12.x installation.
The following sections provide instructions on how to install, deactivate, and activate.
We recommend installing on a new computer because of the system requirement changes between earlier versions of the software and NPM 12.x.
Use the 30-day evaluation license on the NPM 12.x installation to use both installations concurrently for the evaluation period.
Either during the 30-day evaluation period on your NPM 12.x installation or when the evaluation license expires, use the License Manager to deactivate your 10.3 or earlier installation.
Immediately activate your NPM 12.x installation.
