This article describes how to upgrade and migrate the database to a new server.

  • NPM 10.7 and earlier
  • NCM 7.3
  • SAM 6.0.1
  • UDT 3.0.2
  • Microsoft 2012 R2 Server

Note: You must either upgrade everything on the old 2003 server and then move over to the new 2012 server or install the same old version on the 2012 server.

  1. Migrate the database. Refer to the SolarWinds Migration Guide.
  2. Verify that the upgrade path for the installed modules leave the Operating System and the Database fields unchanged. Refer to the Product Upgrade Advisor.
