Issue:

The NPM Configuration Wizard fails during an upgrade with the error:

Error = [DBNETLIB][ConnectionOpen (Connect()).]SQL Server does not exist or access denied.

Cause:

The unnecessary space after the SQL server name may be the cause of this issue.

Resolution:

  1. Run the Configuration Wizard selecting all three options - How to Run Configuration Wizard.
  2. Remove the unnecessary space after the SQL server instance name and complete the wizard.

Applies to:  NPM v10.7
