How to unmanage Nodes, Interfaces and/or Applications in bulk

Overview

This article provides steps to un-manage Nodes, Interfaces and/or Applications in bulk using the Orion Web Console.

Environment

  • All Orion modules
  • All Orion Platform versions

Detail

 

To Un-manage Nodes

===============

1. Go to "Settings > Manage Nodes"

2. Ensure that the "Show" pull-down list is set to "Nodes".

3. Select all Nodes you wish to Un-manage.

4. Click "Maintenance Mode".

5. Specify the Begin and End time for the Nodes to be unmanaged.

6. Click "OK"

 

To Un-manage Interfaces.

1. Go to "Settings > Manage Nodes"

2. Ensure that the "Show" pull-down list is set to "Interfaces".

3. Select all Interfaces you wish to unmanage.

4. Click "UNMANAGE".

5. Specify the Begin and End time for the Interfaces to be unmanaged.

6. Click "OK"

 

To Unmanage Applications

1. Go to "Settings > All Settings"

2. Click "SAM Settings"

3. Click "Manage Application Monitors"

4. Select the Applications you wish to unmanage.

5. Click "UNMANAGE".

6. Specify the Begin and End time for the Applications to be unmanaged.

7. Click "OK"
