Type B originates from 'App_Code.n3gqie9e, Version=0.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null' in the context 'Default' at location 'C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\Temporary ASP.NET Files\root\6faafa1c\92094bad\App_Code.n3gqie9e.dll'.

Environment

All NPM versions

Cause

This occurs because of the presence of .Net temp files in C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\Temporary ASP.NET\

Resolution

Note: Save a copy of the original Temporary ASP.NET files to your local drive as a backup file, in case you need to roll back later.

  1. Stop the SolarWinds Information Service (SWIS) and the World Wide Web Publishing Service from Services.msc if Orion is the only website running on the server.
  2. Delete all files and subfolders from c:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\Temporary ASP.NET Files\
  3. Restart SWIS and World Wide Web Publishing Service.
  4. Go to Start > All Programs > SolarWinds Orion  > Configuration and Auto Discovery and run the Configuration Wizard.
  5. Select all three options and follow the prompts to finish the wizard.
Note: Do not skip website optimization.

If the issue is not resolved, Rebuild the Orion Web Console using advanced repair.
