Updated June 13, 2016

Overview

This article addresses the issue where NPM cannot be upgraded after uninstalling the SRM Evaluation version but is still detected as installed.

Environment

  • All NPM versions
  • All SAM versions
  • All SRM versions

Resolution

  1. Verify if Storage Resource Monitor is visible in Windows Programs and Applications.
  2. If SRM appears, uninstall the program Otherwise, go to the registry HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\SolarWinds\Orion\SRM
  3. Create a backup of the SRM folder.
  4. Delete all contents under SRM.
  5. Rerun the installer.
