Overview

Unable to open the Orion Web Console after making changes to your system, such as Product Upgrades.

Environment

All NPM versions

Cause

The changes interfered or had conflicts with your current configuration.

Resolution

  1. Go to Start > Administrative Tools > Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager.
  2. Under Connections, click Sites > Solarwinds NetPerfMon.
  3. Under Actions. click Browse Website > Browse *:Port Number (http)
  4. If web site fails, go to Bindings > Highlight Port > click Edit.
  5. Edit the following: IP address: All Unassigned  Port 80
  6. Click Ok > Close.
  7. Under Actions, click Browse Website > Browse *:80 (http).
  8. If web site fails, try port 8080.
  9. Make sure you have added an exception for your port in your firewall.
  10. Make sure when upgrading modules in Orion that they are compatible or properly install, review the Control Panel to see if the correct versions are listed. Click here to view the compatibility of products.
