Overview

This article provides brief information and a resolution to the following error when listing resources from nodes assigned on additional polling engine:

Unexpected Website Error
ProvideFault failed, check fault information

List Resources only works on the main SolarWinds NPM Server.

Environment

NPM version 11.0

Cause

The SolarWinds.Orion.DiscoveryPlugin.dll file was not moved to the correct directory after the upgrade.

Resolution

Manually copy the SolarWinds.Orion.Core.Discovery.Plugin.dll to the correct directory.

It can be found here: Volume:\program files x86\SolarWinds\Orion\Discovery
Copy it to the root directory found here:  Volume:\program files x86\SolarWinds\Orion
