Unable to customize or modify views after NPM upgrade

Issue:
After an NPM upgrade,  user is unable to customize, or modify views, as object reference is not set to an instance of an object.

Cause:
This issue occurs due to errors in the Web Resource Cache.

Resolution:
Rebuilding the web console to replace corrupted objects:
1. First run an iisreset on the SolarWinds server and then access the Add Resource page again.
2. Run the Orion Permissions Checker and verify correct permissions are applied. Repair, if necessary.
    Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\SolarWinds\Orion\OrionPermissionChecker.exe

3. Stop all Orion Services using Orion Service Manager How to Start/Stop Orion Services
4. Open C:\Inetpub and rename the Solarwinds folder to Solarwinds_OLD
6. Open IIS.
     Start > Run > inetmgr

7. Delete the Solarwinds Orion Website.

    Note: Please note that most of the Website settings are stored in the database. In deleting the website, you will not lose any data, except the custom logo.

8. Open the Orion Configuration Wizard. 
     Start > All Programs > SolarWinds Orion > Configuration and Auto-discovery > Configuration Wizard

9. Run the website portion of the Configuration Wizard. This will create a new website for you.
