The orionweb.log shows the following errors:

ERROR SolarWinds.Orion.Web.DAL.AccountProfileDAL - Attempted to retreive properties for nonexistent user

WARN SolarWinds.Orion.Web.AuthorizationManager - Warning: Checking Group membership; Account Group 'DOMAIN\1DOMAINGROUP' contained NULL SID.

All Orion Core products

The error is caused when you are unable to retrieve the SID in the DB during adding previous AD groups.

  1. Remove the users that have a NULL SID value in the 'Accounts' table. You can do this via the 'Manage accounts' tab in the webconsole.
  2. If you add them back in, check the accounts table to verify the SID column is populated.
  3. Add the non-existent user mentioned.
