Overview

Unable to add new resources even when logged in as an administrator.

For example, go to Customize Page > Click the green + button to add a resource and only Custom Table or different resource/s are presented.

Environment

  • NPM v11.5.2 with Hotfix 3
  • Orion Platform with Hotfix 6

Cause 

This is caused by a website issue and it needs to be rebuilt.

Resolution

  1. Stop the SolarWinds NetPerfMon website within IIS.
  2. Rename the C:\Inetpub\SolarWinds\ folder.
  3. Delete the SolarWinds NetPerfMon website from IIS
  4. Clean the cache by deleting the content of the below folders:
    C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\Temporary ASP.NET Files\root\
    C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319\Temporary ASP.NET Files\root\
  5. Run the Configuration Wizard from Start > SolarWinds Orion > Configuration and Auto-Discovery >Configuration Wizard.
  6. Select Database, Website, and Services and click Next until the wizard completes.
