Overview

When trying to add Windows Domain Accounts you receive the following Error. 

 

Unable to Add Account PRB: Compiler Error CS0246: The Type or Namespace Name <Type/Namespace> Could Not be Found

 

"c:\inetpub\SolarWinds\Orion\Admin\Accounts\Add\WindowsAccount.aspx.cs(109): error CS0246: The type or namespace name 'AccountName' could not be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?)"

Environment

  • NPM 11.5.2 

Resolution

  1. Stop All Orion Services. 
  2. Clean up following Folders
    • C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\Temporary
    • C:\Windows\Temp 
    • NOTE: You may not be able to clean all the files in use however try to delete all of them including SolarWinds folder from windows/temp 
  3. Now Restart all Orion services
