Too many alerts for Interface flapping

Overview

This article provides steps on how you can get fewer alerts by setting the option to require X minutes before firing.

Steps

  1. Go to Settings > Manage Alerts, and type the name of the alert into the search box on the middle right hand side..
  2. Click on the Trigger Condition link at the top once your inside the alert you want to modify.
    • There is a check box above Advanced Options that says "Condition must exist for more than X..."
  3. Select the check box and enter the desired time length into the box, and select a measure of time (seconds, minutes, or hours).

 

This will force the alert to wait the specified time period before being triggered.
