There was an error rendering: capacity forecast charts

Updated December 22, 2016

Overview

In a primary and secondary FoE setup, when you browse the nodes details page from secondary to view CPU/memory/network/storage capacity, these resource views(not necessarily custom) display the following errors: If you do the same from primary it works perfectly fine.

However, if you do the same from the primary, it works without any errors.

When you click View Details, each error comes with the following message prompt:

Message: RunQuery failed, check fault information.
         Could not load type 'SolarWinds.AgentManagement.Contract.Models.OsType' from assembly 'SolarWinds.AgentManagement.Contract, Version=1.4.0.40, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null'.

Environment

  • NPM 12
  • FoE 6.7(1152)

Cause

This is due to the existence of stale files from previous install:

old version of SQLpache files in "C:\Program Files (x86)\SolarWinds\Orion\Packaging\Active\Database\Prepared

Resolution

  1. Uninstall any old version of install files if they exist on the server with issues. Make sure to have the exact same version of install files as in the primary.
  2. Run Configuration Wizard with as per instructions in KB https://support.solarwinds.com/Succe...e_Resource_Key

Problem should be resolved after performing the procedure above. If not, send fresh Orion Diagnostics to Support for further analysis.
