Overview

In the Schedule Unmanaged Utility, the following error occurs when a user attempts to open the Unmanaged Task Editor:

There was a fatal error while reading Orion objects.
More details are available in a log file.
Restart the application after fixing the problem.

Environment

NPM 10.6

 

Cause 

The utility is not able to connect to the custom property table.

The UnManageUtility.log contains an entry similar to the following:

2015-03-17 12:32:51,552 [5] ERROR SWEventLogging - Unable to read from database.
System.ServiceModel.FaultException: Property (custom table name) not found on target of navigation property S.CustomProperties

Resolution

To resolve the issue, run the query below on the database manager or in SQL Management Studio:

DELETE FROM CustomPropertyMetadata WHERE Name in ('CRCAlignErrorsThisHour','CRCAlignErrorsToday','DuplexMode','LateCollisionsThisHour','LateCollisionsToday')

Where the following names are custom property names:

CRCAlignErrorsThisHour','CRCAlignErrorsToday
