Overview

The following error occurs when connecting to the database using Windows credentials: 

The SQL user account password is not valid

Environment

Orion Platform products version 2017.1 and later

 

Cause 

Windows credentials for the database are not supported.

User can connect to the SQL instance using either Windows or SQL credentials.

User must connect to the Orion database using SQL credentials.

Resolution

Use your SQL credentials to connect to the Orion database.
